Los Angeles – probably the most glamorous city of the world. It´s the quintessential city of the Endless Summer and often called the "Creative Capital of the World", due to the fact that one in every six of its residents works as artist, writer, filmmaker, actor, dancer or musician. For history lovers: L.A. has more museums per capita than any other city in the world. For sport fans: L.A is the home of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, and also women´s NBA.
But what L.A. definitely is most famous for, is, the major film production of the world, the Universal Studios of Hollywood, where you may catch a glimpse of the world´s most famous film stars. During the winter months temperature is rather mild, it does not drop below 0°C and it rains now and then. During the summer months the average temperature is 27°C high and 17°C low. In June L.A. gets less sun, as "June Gloom" descends, a weather pattern that occurs when a blanket of marine fog hovers over the coast, sometimes lingering into July.

Getting to and from the airports
There are plenty of ways how to get into downtown, the easiest way to travel from one of the Airports to the city is by metro, train or by bus.
L.A. has a quite comfortable subway system, which connects the different suburbs. It takes you from Downtown Los Angeles to Hollywood in about 15 minutes.
LA's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) operates the public buses and commuter trains within Los Angeles. Most bus and rail lines start around 4am and keep running past midnight.
L.A.´s metro is the easiest way to travel through the city. The Red Line takes you to Hollywood Boulevard, Universal Studios and various points in downtown Los Angeles. Metro buses can quickly take you to Museum Row on Miracle Mile, Santa Monica, the Getty, Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland. There is also a Metro 24-hour Owl service, for those who travel at late hours. There is a Metro Trip Planner on the official webpage of L.A.´s metro, where you can find out easily your line.
